This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used, and shared when you use the AppsPrize mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). AppsPrize is operated by App Samurai Inc and its affiliates ("App Samurai", "we", "us", "our"). This notice supplements the App Samurai Privacy Policy and, where they differ, the more specific terms of this notice apply to AppsPrize.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The controller of your personal data is App Samurai, Inc., a company incorporated in Delaware, of The Farm Soho, 447 Broadway, 2nd and 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10013, United States. For users in the United Kingdom, the controller is App Samurai Ltd, of 184 Shepherds Bush Road, London W6 7NL, United Kingdom.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide.
- Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address associated with that account.
- Phone number. If you verify a phone number when you create your account, we collect the number you enter. We use it to send you a one-time verification code by SMS and to confirm the number is yours. Because each person may hold only one account, we also use it to detect duplicate and fraudulent sign-ups. The SMS programme itself, including how to get help and how to stop messages, is described in our Terms of Service.
- Payout details. When you cash out, we collect the information needed to send your reward, such as the email address linked to your PayPal account or the details required to deliver a gift card.
- Survey and support content. Responses you give in surveys, and the content of any message you send to support.
Information collected automatically.
- Device and identifiers. Device model and type, operating system and version, app version, language, and your mobile advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID).
- Network data. IP address and general location derived from it (such as country or region), and mobile network information.
- Usage and reward activity. Games you install and play through the Service, offers and surveys you start or complete, coins earned, and cash-outs requested. We use this to credit rewards accurately and to detect fraud.
- Diagnostic data. Crash and performance information that helps us keep the app working.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the Service, credit your rewards, and process your payouts.
- Verify your phone number when you create an account, by sending a one-time code by SMS.
- Verify that reward activity is genuine and prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate or fake installs.
- Show you relevant games, offers, and surveys, which are how the Service is funded.
- Respond to your support requests and appeals.
- Analyze and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Automated fraud detection. We use automated systems to score reward activity and to detect duplicate or fraudulent accounts. These systems can result in coins being withheld or reversed and in an account being suspended. Where a decision of this kind is made solely by automated means and significantly affects you, you may ask for it to be reviewed by a person, express your point of view, and contest the decision, by contacting support@appsprize.com. Our appeals process is described in Section 7 of the Terms of Service.
3. Advertising and your Advertising ID
AppsPrize is advertiser-funded. Advertisers and game studios pay to put their games, offers, and surveys in front of players, and that budget funds your rewards. To measure whether a reward activity was completed and to show relevant offers, we and our advertising partners use your Google Advertising ID and related device data.
You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device settings under Google, then Ads. Doing so does not stop you from earning, but it may make offers less relevant.
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. Some of the advertising activity described above may still count as a "sale" or as "sharing" under California and other US state privacy laws, and you can opt out of it at any time. Section 9 explains how.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Advertising, offer, and survey partners. So that your completion of an offer or survey can be verified and credited. These partners process the identifiers and activity data needed to confirm a reward.
- Payment and reward providers. Such as PayPal and gift-card providers, to deliver the payout you request.
- Google Sign-In. To authenticate your account.
- Messaging provider. AWS End User Messaging, which processes your phone number only to deliver the one-time verification code you asked for.
- Service providers. Companies that host, support, secure, and analyze the Service on our behalf, under contract and only for those purposes.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of users, the public, or App Samurai.
- Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in control of your information.
Categories of personal information (as per CCPA). The table below summarizes the categories of personal information we have collected in the past twelve months, why we use them, the categories of third parties we disclose them to, and whether they are sold or shared as those terms are defined by California law.

We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. The advertiser-funded reward measurement described above involves sharing device identifiers and reward activity with advertising partners, and that may qualify as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and other US state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the app and on appsprize.com, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the sharing categories described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent: that information is not shared with any third party, other than our messaging provider acting solely on our behalf to deliver the one-time code you asked for. To stop receiving codes, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email support@appsprize.com.
5. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:
- Performance of a contract, to provide the Service and pay your rewards.
- Legitimate interests, to prevent fraud, secure the Service, and improve it, balanced against your rights.
- Consent, for personalized advertising where required, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation, to meet our compliance requirements.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
SMS consent records. We keep a record of your SMS consent, and of any STOP request you make, so that we can demonstrate that every message was sent with your permission. These records are not used for any other purpose and are never shared for marketing.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly if an incident occurs.
8. International transfers
App Samurai operates internationally, including in the United States and Europe. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers out of the EEA or UK.
9. Your privacy rights
EEA, UK, and similar regions. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
How to opt out of sale or sharing. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the app and in the footer of appsprize.com, or email our DPO ecekockar@appsamurai.com. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request. You do not need an account, and we will not ask you to create one, in order to opt out.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at our DPO ecekockar@appsamurai.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
10. Notice of Financial Incentive (as per CCPA)
AppsPrize is a rewards program. When you take part, you earn coins that can be redeemed for PayPal payouts or gift cards, and to run the program we collect and use the personal information described in Section 1. Under California law this is a financial incentive, and this section is the notice required before you take part.
- How to join. You join by creating an account and verifying your phone number. Taking part is entirely voluntary.
- What you receive. Coins that can be redeemed for a payout to PayPal or for a gift card once you reach the cash-out threshold shown in the app. Earnings vary and are not guaranteed.
- How to leave. You may withdraw at any time by closing your account in the app or by emailing our DPO ecekockar@appsamurai.com. Unredeemed coins are forfeited when you leave the program.
- Why the program is permitted. The program is offered to every eligible user on the same terms, and any difference in treatment is reasonably related to the value your information provides to the advertiser-funded model that pays for the rewards.
11. Children
AppsPrize is intended for adults and is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your location, to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links and services
The Service links to third-party games, offers, and websites that have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for those practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
